Ἰησοῦς  pronounced Iésous is the Greek word for Jesus. In Hebrews chapter 4 verse 8   you can read that Jesus  not Joshua  lead the Israelites into the promised land.

Hebrews 4 : 8 - Εἰ γὰρ αὐτοὺς Ἰησοῦς  κατέπαυσεν, οὐκ ἂν περὶ ἄλλης ἐλάλει μετὰ ταῦτα ἡμέρας.
